A delicious take on a classic comfort food that combines savory hamburger steaks with a rich gravy and tender potatoes.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 cups sliced potatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup gravy

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and place them in a baking dish.
  4. Layer the sliced potatoes on top of the patties.
  5. Pour the beef broth and gravy over the potatoes and patties.
  6. Sprinkle diced onions on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden.
