- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add the rolled oats, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
- If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
