- 12 large jumbo pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked beef, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Fill each pasta shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed shells in the dish and cover with remaining marinara sauce.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle more mozzarella cheese on top before baking.
- These can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking.
