12 cabbage leaves
1 pound ground beef
4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
1 cup cooked rice
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, turkey bacon, sautéed onion and garlic, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
Place a generous amount of filling inside each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
Arrange the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce over the top.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
Notes
For added flavor, try adding some cheese to the filling.
