Discover how to make delicious and easy cabbage rolls filled with turkey bacon and topped with a savory beef sauce.

  • 12 cabbage leaves
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, turkey bacon, sautéed onion and garlic, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place a generous amount of filling inside each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
  6. Arrange the rolls seam-side down in a baking dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce over the top.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try adding some cheese to the filling.
  • Serve with a side of sour cream.
