A rich and creamy German Chocolate Cheesecake that combines the flavors of classic German chocolate cake in a smooth cheesecake.

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, then press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract, shredded coconut, chopped pecans, melted chocolate, and sour cream until fully combined.
  6. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until set. Allow to cool before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet.
  • This cheesecake can be topped with additional coconut and pecans for garnish.
