This Heavenly Orange Chiffon Cake is a light and fluffy dessert that combines the zesty flavor of orange with a delicate texture, perfect for any special occasion.

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 6 large eggs, separated
  • ⅔ cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the vegetable oil, egg yolks, orange juice, and orange zest. Mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg whites into the batter until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into an ungreased tube pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Invert the cake to cool completely before removing from the pan.
