Ingredients
Scale
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup onions, chopped
Instructions
In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil and add the chicken breasts. Cook until chicken is no longer pink, about 15 minutes.
Remove the chicken, shred it with a fork, and set aside.
In the same pot, add the carrots, celery, and onions, cooking until softened.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter to form a dough.
Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the pot, covering the vegetables and broth.
Cook for 10-15 minutes until dumplings are cooked through. Stir in the shredded chicken.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
