  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground chicken ham
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 cup small pasta

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  2. Add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic to the pot and sauté until tender.
  3. Mix in ground chicken ham and cook until browned.
  4. Add kidney beans, tomatoes, chicken broth, oregano, and basil. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in pasta and cook until al dente.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
