A comforting and easy one pot pasta dish that combines the flavors of French onion soup with turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add the onions to the pot and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the beef broth, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and bring to a boil.
  5. Stir in the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted.
  7. Top with the crispy turkey bacon and serve.

Notes

  • You can use any pasta shape you prefer.
  • Feel free to substitute the Gruyere cheese with other types of cheese.
