  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef with the onions over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the beef broth, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Bring to a boil and then add the broken lasagna noodles.
  5. Cook until the noodles are tender.
  6. Stir in the ricotta cheese until melted and creamy.
