- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups pretzel crumbs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for pretzel crumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip it in the egg, and finally coat it with the pretzel crumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the chicken and cook until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, combine the Dijon mustard and shredded cheddar over low heat until melted and smooth. Serve over the chicken.
Notes
- For added flavor, try marinating the chicken in buttermilk for a few hours before breading.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
