A delicious and easy recipe for pretzel crusted chicken served with a mustard-cheddar sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups pretzel crumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for pretzel crumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip it in the egg, and finally coat it with the pretzel crumbs.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the chicken and cook until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  7. In a saucepan, combine the Dijon mustard and shredded cheddar over low heat until melted and smooth. Serve over the chicken.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try marinating the chicken in buttermilk for a few hours before breading.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
