A creamy and indulgent dish featuring layers of potatoes and roasted garlic.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as Gruyère or Cheddar)
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the potatoes in the dish, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and half of the minced roasted garlic.
  4. Add half of the cheese on top of the first layer.
  5. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, garlic, and cheese.
  6. Pour heavy cream over the layers.
  7. Sprinkle paprika on top.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a combination of different cheeses.
  • Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
