A warm and creamy white chicken chili recipe that combines tender chicken, savory turkey bacon, and a delightful blend of spices.

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 oz) white kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese, for serving
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove from pot and crumble.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add chicken breasts, broth, beans, green chiles, cumin, and chili powder. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Cook for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Remove chicken, shred it, and return to the pot.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and crumbled bacon. Heat through before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sauté the spices for a minute before adding the liquids.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more chili powder or jalapeños.
